Mary Henderson was choosen and donated her beautiful work to: "Tampa Bay Tour of Turtles" The 5 principles: The Belleair Press had this to say about artist Mary Henderson: "Mary's work will take the observer into a pleasant world of washed colors and tender subjects." Mary's medium of choice is watercolor; her use of color and natural brush stroke seem to be gifts from the gods, but are actually the results of her years of study. From her rural Michigan foundations to her present residence in Florida, she gives a diverse range of subject matter a universal appeal. Recognition and acclaim started at the age of eight for Mary; her most recent being the coveted Silver Medallion from Grumbacher, Inc. of New York. Currently, presentations of both her original works and limited edition prints to select galleries, juried art shows and festivals are increasing her awards and recognition. Her appeal has led to her work being in galleries and private collections not only in the United States, but also internationally in countries as far away as Australia and Sweden. Mary derives a great deal of satisfaction from her students and presently teaches eight classes each week at her St. Petersburg studio, in addition to one and two-day seminars throughout the state of Florida.
